Digital Services Act

EU Digital Services Act information for Mega Step.

This page explains how Mega Step (HK) Ltd. handles notices, complaints and redress requests connected with online content or digital access decisions where the European Union Digital Services Act applies.

Last updated: 11 July 2026

Mega Step provides this Digital Services Act information in English only. Any translation, browser translation or informal explanation is for convenience only; the English version is the controlling version.

1. Scope of this page

Mega Step is a business-to-business inspection, audit, sourcing support and reporting service provider. Our website and online report links are used to present company information, receive business enquiries and deliver inspection-related materials to customers and authorized recipients. Mega Step does not operate a general-purpose social network, public marketplace or open user-generated content platform.

Where the Digital Services Act applies to any part of Mega Step's online services, Mega Step will handle relevant notices and complaints in a fair, diligent and timely manner, taking into account the nature of the service, the information provided and the rights and legitimate interests involved.

2. Notices about illegal content

If you are located in the European Union and believe that content made available through a Mega Step website, online report link or related digital service is illegal, infringes your rights or should be restricted under applicable law, you may send a notice to Mega Step through the inspection request or booking channels published on this website.

To allow Mega Step to assess the notice, please include the relevant URL or report reference, a clear explanation of why you believe the content is illegal, your name and contact details, and a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

3. Decisions and internal review

Mega Step may remove, restrict, disable access to, correct or keep available content or report materials after reviewing a notice, customer instruction, legal request, confidentiality concern, security concern or contractual requirement. Where appropriate, Mega Step may inform the affected customer or recipient of the action taken and the reason for the decision, unless doing so would create legal, confidentiality, security or fraud-prevention risk.

If you are an EU recipient of a Mega Step digital service and you believe Mega Step made a mistake in a decision to remove, restrict, disable access to or keep available information, you may request internal review through the same business contact channel used for the original notice or service request.

4. Out-of-court dispute settlement

Where the Digital Services Act gives you a right to challenge an eligible content or access decision, you may be entitled to select a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body in the European Union. Mega Step will engage with a properly certified body where required by applicable law. Unless mandatory law states otherwise, Mega Step is not bound by a non-binding decision of such a body.

The European Commission publishes information about the Digital Services Act and out-of-court dispute settlement bodies on its official website. More information is available at the European Commission's Digital Services Act page and its page on out-of-court dispute settlement bodies.

5. Judicial redress and legal advice

You may also have the option of judicial redress before a competent court or other legal remedies under applicable law. Mega Step cannot provide legal advice. If you are considering out-of-court or judicial redress options, you may wish to consult an independent legal adviser.

6. Relationship with other Mega Step terms

This page should be read together with Mega Step's Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Data Processing terms. Nothing on this page limits mandatory rights that apply under the Digital Services Act or other applicable law.
